The 40K Fight Club Presents...

40K Fight Club Chapters
Updated 5-29-05 - Yellow dots

Purpose: The 40K Fight Club Chapters program is designed to allow other Clubs that either don't have the ability to put up and maintain their own web site or forum, or people who just want to be part of this growing club of dedicated gamers, to be able to be active members of the 40K Fight Club no matter where in the world they live and game.

Definition : A 40K Fight Club Chapter is a club that is pulling together under the 40KFC banner to increase gaming enjoyment in their local area

Components : The necessary components to found a 40K Fight Club Chapter:
Chapter Master. - This is the person who is the spokesperson for their Chapter and the direct liaison to the Primarchs of the 40K Fight Club. This is the person that will be 100% responsible for their Chapter and their Chapter Members.
Lieutenants - These are people appointed by the Chapter Master to help them maintain their Chapter.
Members - These are the people that are in your local area that belong to your Chapter of the 40K Fight Club.

Requirements : What to do to get to be a Chapter:
A Club Chapter Master must step forward and request the formation of their Club Section
The Chapter Master must be a donating member
The Chapter Master must have the user names of at least 5 other people that are registered on the forums and that will be joining their club (these do not have to be donating members)
The Chapter Master must accept the responsibility of moderating any forums created specifically for their Chapter
Each Chapter Must have 1 Lieutenant for every full 10 members of the Chapter.
.....o This Lieutenant must be a donating member and will gain moderator rights for the Chapter Forums.
.....o The Chapter Master must inform us (The Primarchs) of any promotions to Lieutenant before any announcements or telling the person, and The Primarchs have the right to deny any promotions.h
.....o The Chapter does not have to have 10 members to have a Lieutenant. (ie. You could have 4 members in your club, the Chapter Master and the Lieutenant if you wanted), but must have 1 for every full 10 members (keeping in mind that both the Chapter Master and the Lieutenant will count toward this 10 person count) The reason for this is so that the Chapter will have enough moderators to be able to take care of their forums without the involvement of The Primarchs (at least as much as possible, after all it is your Chapter)

Benefits : What the Chapter gets
Each Chapter will get their Name on the “Chapter Founding's” Page of the web site.
Each Chapter will get 1 web page that can have as much information on it about their club as they would like. But it is static information (ie, does not change very often)
....... o This page will have the Club's Logo (if you have one) as well as information on location, gaming times, who the Chapter Master is, contact info, etc.
....... o This page will also explain the forums and how to join the Chapter's specific usergroup.
....... o Can list members and such also if needed.
....... o Note that this page will not be super spiffy. It will look nice, but will not be as detailed as the members page directly linked from the front of the 40KFC site.
Each Chapter will get it’s own ‘Category’ with their Club Name. (example “40K Fight Club” is a Category with several ‘Forums’ under it)
Each Chapter will have it’s own Usergroup on the Forum. This usergroup will be set to Private (Hidden) meaning that unless a person is added to their Usergroup, they cannot view the Chapter's forums.
The Category will not be visible to anyone that is not part of the usergroup. This is so that the front page does not become 50 pages long with usergruoups and such.
Each Category can have 4 Forums named as they choose in this format: "[City,State] Chapter - [forum name]" These Forums should not be ones that simply duplicate 'public' forums (ie. Lansing Chapter - 40K Discussions would just be emulating the already Legion wide forum of 40K General Discussions).
Additional Forums will be made available based on length of time as a Chapter. For every 6 months that you are a Chapter, you can get another Forum created for your Chapters specific use, following the rules for non-duplication as normal..
Chapter Masters will gain a special rank of “Chapter Master – [club name]” for their forum name.
Lieutenants will also gain a special rank of "Lieutenant - [club name]" for their forum name..
Access to The Domination Table - 'Emperor's Champion League' specifically or your Chapter.

Cost : What does this cost you?
Nothing. We may end up charging a fee for the set up of a Chapter, but at this point we, frankly, don't know how much work it will be for us to do, so we decided to see how it goes first.

Questions
: If you have questions on any of this, please contact The Primarchs so that we can answer your questions.

Getting Started : If you think you have what it takes to be a Chapter Master for your club, then contact us with the following information:

Your Real Name
A Phone Number that we can reach you at
Your Full Address
Your Email
Your Forum Name
Club Name (also your Chapter Name)
Club Website if you have one
Club Location (full address with phone number so that people can find your Chapter)
Forum and Real Names of the 5 people ready to join your Chapter (this does not include yourself remember)
Names of the 4 Forums you are requesting for your Chapter and descriptions - These should not duplicate any exsisting public forums.

Other things that need to be done :
You must designate a Chapter Night for your Chapter.
....... o It must be held at a minimum of once a month, but can be more frequent if desired or needed.
....... o There must be a Chapter Officer present at each Chapter Night, and that Officer is responsible for posting a summary of the Chapter Night in the Chapters Events forum.
The Chapter Master and his officers must hold at least one Chapter Wide event every Calendar year with a Club wide event posting of the results.
Kick off Event - Before a Chapter can be founded, the Chapter Master must have an Inaugural event planned for their Chapter. A League, Campaign, Tournament, Etc, to celebrate the Founding of their Chapter.

Some things that will prevent you from forming a Chapter :
If your club already has Forums. Part of our desire is to help clubs that are just starting or don't have someone that can maintain a site for them. If you already have forums, then there is little reason to have a second set of forums here, as they will be unlikely to be used.
If we have had issues with you on our forums. It is unlikely that we will allow the creation of a Chapter by someone that we feel is unfit to run one.

What can get your Chapter shut down
A major lack of activity on our forums from your Chapter for a prolonged period of time can be an indicator that it is not working out.
Violations of the 40K Fight Club polocies can and will result in Chapter removal.
Failure to meet Chapter Resuirements set forth above
If either of the Primarchs feel that your Chapter is not the right fit for the 40K Fight Club for whatever reason.

Send the above information to The Primarchs

As a final note. We do not take the creation of a Chapter lightly. Be aware. We will not approve or continue to endorse a Chapter that does things to bring the hobby into disrepute.
